When you take a dive trip on the Atlantis IV, you are in for a treat. One of the most spacious and comfortable boats in this area, we offer you ample room to stow gear, as well as yourself. A climate-controlled cabin with benches, bunks and open floor space makes the trip to and from the dive site quite enjoyable. Hot and cold fresh water and a clean head are standard on every trip. A galley with microwave, toaster oven and refrigerator make the Atlantis IV feel like home. If you prefer the outdoors, the cockpit has bench space for setting up gear, floor space for stretching out, and during the surface interval plenty of room to get some sun: even up on the bow! The view from the bridge is even better, and passengers are welcome to climb the ladder to visit with the Captain at the helm.

The Atlantis IV can carry 6 passengers comfortably, offers many amenities and has a long-standing reputation for 
offering relaxed and enjoyable ocean excursions. 
-We do not run afternoon trips, so you will not be hurried back to shore for that reason. 
When you book the boat, you have us for the day. We only carry 6 divers, so you will not be 
elbow to elbow with ump-teen other divers. Our salon is climate controlled and spacious, 
so everyone can lie down for a nap. When you dive with Atlantis Charters, you get more.

"New" Urchin found off the coast of NC
8/20/03

We are still working on a positive ID: best guess is an Astropyga radiata

August 2004 update: unfortunately we have not seen these urchins again so far this year. If/when we do, we will let you know!
August 2005: We saw a lonely big urchin out in the sand about 500' off of the Naeco. It looked a lot like the ones we saw in 2003!
